We seek to bring the highest quality cattle veterinary services and expertise home to the Peace Country.
Our Values
Adaptability
We are a family owned and operated business and know many of our clients’ operations are too. We take a personalized and empathetic approach to practice. It is imperative that we tailor our solutions to fit the operation we are working for. Whether it’s a vaccination protocol, outbreak management plan, or a routine animal handling like pregnancy checking or semen testing, every operation works best a certain way. It’s our job to help our clients find what is right for them.
Quality service
We want to raise the bar when it comes to value provided with each farm visit. Our team’s experience and mentality set us apart in our field. We will provide evidence-based and current therapies for our clients’ animals and will endeavor to improve ourselves continually as medicine evolves. We want our clients to feel as though the cost of our services is proportional and fair, even if it is a difficult or costly situation that they have come to us with.
Fostering understanding
It is an honour to be asked to help plan our client’s management to maximize their cattle’s wellbeing and productivity. We take that job seriously and want to incorporate an approach that helps educate our clients on what we perceive as risks to their operation and why. We will take the time to make sure treatment protocols and diagnoses are understood so that producers will become better able to make the right choices on their own, and call us first when they need help.
Our Team
Meet Dr. Erik
Veterinarian, Owner/Operator
Dr. Erik Burow graduated from the University of Calgary Veterinary Medicine program in 2019 and has practiced large animal medicine in the Peace Region ever since. Erik loves cattle practice and is passionate about elevating the standard of care for cattle and working with producers to keep their operations healthy and profitable.
Meet Dana
Registered Veterinary Technician
With 17 years of experience as a Registered Veterinary Technician, Dana has had had the opportunity to work with a wide variety of animals and develop a particular passion for farm and large-animal medicine. She especially enjoys working with cattle and being out on the farm, where every day brings something new.
Originally from southern British Columbia, she moved to Fairview to attend college - and somewhere along the way, she became a true farm girl! Today, she has her own little “funny farm” where she enjoys life with dogs, Highland cattle, horses, goats and chickens.
When she’s not working, she loves camping, hunting riding and spending time with her family. My love for animals and rural life extends well beyond her career, and she feels fortunate to combine her passion for veterinary medicine with the lifestyle she enjoys most.
